Project-Driven Internships
Students can anticipate spending the majority of their time focused on a main project with the possibility of smaller projects throughout the program. All Summer Interns will give a presentation on their summer experience during the last week of the program.
Length
Do Real Work is an eight-week summer program beginning the first Monday in June and concluding the last week of July. Extensions beyond the eight-week program will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Housing
Simmons offers housing assistance for students who live out of the area. We will work with local universities and other temporary housing options to ensure you have accommodation through the duration of the program. Dorm and basic parking costs will be covered.
Please note, that not all locations have access to public transportation. You will need reliable transportation.
Project(s)
The project topic will be shared with the student on the first day of employment. The hiring team will help the student scope the project work and be there for support as the student navigates the work. Projects can vary from cost savings initiatives focus to implementation of new processes. The goal of the project is to contribute real work to the company while providing opportunities for students to interact with cross-functional teams across the organization.
Pay
Internship pay starts at $18/hr. Summer Internships are 40 hours a week, paid weekly.
